I've had these hiatal hernia symptoms since I was a trivial child; constant belching after every few bites or meal, and distention of my breadbasket, usually starting from the lower abdominal area and working its way up. Since April 2021, I have had numerous attacks which can last days. I seriously advise, if your status is as bad, Carafate (sucralfate) twice a day and omeprazole twice a 24-hour interval. I got them at a walk-in dispensary. I went to a specialist, a gastroenterologist because my GERD is getting worse. He did 2 endoscopy and the result is, I don't accept whatsoever hernia. So the Doctor only prescribed me some omeprazole to take in the morning. I share the same symptoms that people are experiencing. Every time I wake up I feel so tired, afterwards eating I feel so bloated I can't breathe and I feel faint. I also accept higher heart rate. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia several years back and was told information technology was something I had to live with. I have been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia as well also IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and diverticulosis. I've been going through desperation for the last six years and doctors will not heed. So many comments hither describe some level of misery with a hiatal hernia. You all demand to take corrective surgery. Mine has become huge... two/3 of my stomach now in breast crenel! I was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus 21 years ago and have been on pantoprazole since. Fifteen months ago I began choking after eating and had chest pain and sickness. This began to get astringent and I lost a lot of weight. I had an endoscopy and was told I had a sliding and rolling hiatal hernia and demand surgery. I have been waiting almost a year for surgery now but considering of the COVID it keeps getting delayed. Fortunately my hernia has settled down and I can swallow at times, though I still suffer.

I have terrible pain in my back and stomach from hiatal hernia. I as well have a lot of joint pain and had several spinal fusions and a cervical surgery. It is difficult to consume, I am on Protonix and Zofran, and nothing helps. I hate to think of some other surgery and wondering what can help me.

I think I have had every symptom that comes with hiatal hernia. The worst is the fatigue, shortness of breath and panic attacks. The weird thing nearly my hiatal hernia is, I have zero symptoms just could see and feel the hernia protruding and that is why I went to the physician; it was not symmetrical with my chest. Twelve years agone I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and upward to this year it was under command with omeprazole. This year, and since the lockdown started I have had two flare-ups where I take felt sick and been having a pain around the breastbone area. My hiatal hernia gives me very bad pains in betwixt my shoulder blades. I get some rib cage pain, chest discomfort, sore throat, tum pain and burning at times. I have been diagnosed with hiatal hernia after an endoscopy. My attacks can terminal 4 hours of vomiting clear mucous every 2 minutes. I cannot sit in between vomiting equally my back needs to exist ramrod direct or I tin can't breathe and the vomiting will occur every 20 seconds instead. I cannot swallow during these attacks as it feels as if my throat is closed and it is very painful to try.
